Job summary

Talentify is seeking a QA Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, FL on a hybrid basis to validate backend systems, data flows, and batch processes across enterprise applications. You will design and execute tests for REST and SOAP APIs, perform SQL data validations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high quality releases.

The role demands strong API, DB, and ChatBot testing skills, plus hands-on use of Postman, Swagger, SQL Server/Oracle, Control-M or Airflow, and experience with Agile

Qualifications

• Strong experience in API testing (REST/SOAP).
• Advanced SQL and database testing knowledge.
• Hands-on batch/ETL testing and data validation.
• Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, SQL Server/Oracle, Control-M, Airflow.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and defect-tracking tools (JIRA/Azure DevOps).
• ChatBot testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Validate API request/response payloads, status codes, authentication, and business rules.
• Perform integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of APIs.
• Validate backend data with SQL queries and ensure data integrity.
• Verify data consistency across applications and ETL processes.

Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a QA Engineer for their Fort Lauderdale, FL/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities

• An experienced QA Engineer with expertise in API Testing, Database Testing, and Batch Testing to validate backend systems, integrations, data flows, and batch processes. The role involves ensuring application quality, data integrity, and seamless end-to-end business operations across enterprise applications.
• API Testing
• Design and execute test cases for REST/SOAP APIs.
• Validate request/response payloads, status codes, authentication, and business rules.
• Perform integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of APIs.
• Use tools such as Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, and Rest Assured.
• Database Testing
• Validate backend data accuracy and integrity using SQL queries.
• Test stored procedures, functions, views, and database validations.
• Verify data consistency across applications and databases.
• Perform source-to-target data validation for ETL processes.

Requirements

• Strong experience in API Testing (REST/SOAP).
• Advanced SQL and Database Testing knowledge.
• Hands-on experience in Batch/ETL Testing and data validation.
• Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, SQL Server/Oracle, Control-M, Airflow, or similar tools.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and defect management tools (JIRA/Azure DevOps).
• ChatBot Testing experience
