Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group is seeking a QA Specialist II to drive quality across our Illinois site. As part of Operations, you will lead initiatives within the Intertape Performance System (IPS) and collaborate with engineering and production to improve processes, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with internal and customer standards.

You will oversee inspections, root-cause analysis of nonconformances, and maintain QA documentation while mentoring cross-functional teams in continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred (Engineering, Sciences, etc.).
• 2–4 years of quality and/or continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Teams.
• Data analysis / statistical proficiency and familiarity with common software applications.
• Strong time management and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead safety programs to foster a culture of safety and compliance.
• Lead the implementation and sustainment of the IPS and drive CI initiatives across the site.
• Perform in-process and receiving inspections of raw materials and components with proper documentation.
• Investigate internal and customer nonconformances, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and improve QA procedures, inspection/test records, and retention documentation.
• Manage the QC laboratory, ensuring calibration, safety, and organized workflow.
• Develop 5S and visual management systems in quality and operations areas.
• Provide coaching and support on CI and QA methodologies to cross-functional teams.
• Assist with customer compliance documentation and respond to inspection/testing requests for protective packaging products.
• Recommend improvements to quality procedures and systems; lead change management across the organization.
