QA Automation Specialist — Functional & Regression Testing

Job summary

RiseMe in Washington DC is seeking a Software Quality Assurance/Functional Tester to develop and implement QA plans in alignment with contract requirements. You will drive functional and automated testing across web applications and coordinate with development teams.

You will design test plans, write automated test scripts, perform validation across SDLC, and produce testing summaries for management. Strong QA methodology, SQL knowledge, and experience with QA tools are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
• Experience with software quality assurance and SDLC
• Knowledge of QA methodologies and testing techniques
• Experience with healthcare operations processes

Responsibilities

• Develop and write test plans based on requirements; create functional automated test scripts and perform testing
• Develop and maintain functional and regression tests to ensure code functions as designed
• Support testing of multiple major releases in coordination with development teams/vendors
• Participate in design specification and technical documentation reviews
• Create testing summary reports communicating results to management
• Collaborate with development team to ensure defects are resolved promptly
• Prioritize defects based on business requirements and customer needs
• Provide testing support for all software applications tested by SQA
• Extensive experience testing across browser web applications
• Design test cases and execute testing across platforms (mobile, web, portal frameworks)
• Develop automated test scripts and test plans; use HP QTP/UFT, TestComplete, Selenium etc.
• Provide production support by investigating and reproducing defects
• Experience with Oracle 11g/12c SQL queries
• Work with multiple database interfaces in standard web architectures
• Develop scalable automation test suites and trace requirements
• Participate in SDLC – Agile/Waterfall; ensure QA environments are maintained
• Experience with HP Quality Center/ALM
• Conduct test case reviews and ensure requirements traceability
