The DC Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Information Systems (OIS) needs a Senior Software QA / Functional Tester to design and run test plans and automated functional test scripts, cover functional/integration/end-to-end testing across web, mobile, and portal platforms, support major releases, and provide production support and quality reporting. 100% onsite in Washington, DC.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement test plans, test cases, and automated functional test scripts to meet quality-control standards
• Develop and maintain functional and regression tests; apply test methodology and product knowledge to test design and strategy
• Support testing of multiple major releases with the development team and vendors; monitor testing activities and deliverables
• Provide production support by investigating and recreating reported defects; help prioritize defect fixes to business needs
• Create testing summary reports and communicate results clearly to management

What you need

• Bachelor of Science degree (IT or related field, or equivalent experience)
• Software quality assurance and test-planning experience (QA plans, test plans and procedures)
• Automated test design and execution with HP QTP/UFT, TestComplete, or Selenium
• HP Quality Center/ALM for test-case writing and defect management
• Leading functional and automated testing efforts, including UI and regression testing
• Advanced SQL query writing and good understanding of Oracle 11g or 12c
