Job summary

ShyftLabs is seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer (Playwright) to shape QA strategy and build scalable automation for enterprise Web, Mobile, API, Retail, and POS apps. The role requires hands-on expertise with Playwright, Appium, API testing, programming, CI/CD, and database validation.

You will lead a team, mentor engineers, and drive AI-assisted testing using Claude to accelerate test creation and maintenance, while ensuring robust coverage, performance, and release readiness.

Qualifications

• Lead the quality strategy and automation framework from planning to production deployment.
• Architect and scale end-to-end Playwright-based automation across Web, Mobile, API, Retail, and POS.
• Drive AI-assisted testing using Claude to accelerate test creation and maintenance and improve coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor QA engineers to raise quality standards.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines and test scheduling; monitor defects and coverage metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality strategy and execution of software solutions across enterprise systems.
• Develop and govern automation frameworks with Playwright, ensuring multi-browser support and robust locators.
• Mentor teammates, champion QA best practices, and drive metrics for release readiness.
• Use Claude and other AI tools to speed test creation and maintenance.
