Job summary

Avantor seeks a QA Automation Lead to oversee a small team of test engineers and own the quality strategy for AI-driven tests. You will ensure the automation layer Vetting every release, integrate tests into CI/CD, and maintain the AI testing infrastructure as product demands grow.

You will report to the Senior QA Manager and collaborate with product, platform, and DevOps teams. You define what is ship‑worthy and build systems that prove it.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years hands-on with Appvance AI Quality Platform and Designer Scripting.
• Proficient in JavaScript ES6+ and TypeScript.
• Experience testing AI-powered applications with LangChain and LangSmith.
• Built or maintained test frameworks for UI, API, database, and cross-browser scenarios.
• Integrated test suites into Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS and CI/CD workflows.
• Worked with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, JSON/XML, OAuth 2.0, JWT.

Responsibilities

• Automation architecture for test frameworks on Appvance AI Quality Platform.
• Directly manage 2–4 test automation engineers; set priorities; review PRs.
• Build tests for AI features: prompts, RAG workflows, hallucinations.
• Write and review Appvance Designer Scripts; code in JS/TS.
• CI/CD integration with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS deployments.
• Ensure cross-platform coverage for web, mobile, desktop, API.
• Track quality metrics and report to leadership.
• Interview automation candidates and mentor reports.
• Participate in production release calls and incident responses.
