Job summary

CTG, a Cegeka company, seeks a QA Automation Lead to drive testing strategy for our client in Phoenix. You will lead QA initiatives, design automated testing frameworks, and mentor engineers.

You will collaborate with developers, BAs, and product owners to ensure testability, integrate with CI/CD, and advance quality metrics in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/software testing with leadership experience.
• Proven experience designing and implementing QA automation solutions.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, tools, and scripting.
• Experience leading QA teams, automation initiatives, or large-scale testing efforts.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience with defect tracking, test management, and quality reporting tools.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze test results, investigate defects, and work with development teams to drive issues through resolution.
• Mentor QA engineers and provide guidance on automation best practices and testing methodologies.
• Monitor testing progress, risks, defects, and quality metrics and communicate status to project stakeholders.
• Help establish and maintain CI/CD-integrated automated testing processes.

Duties:

• Lead and provide technical direction for QA and test automation initiatives across applications and systems.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into development workflows.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to lead testing initiatives while remaining hands‑on with automation activities.

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/software testing, with significant experience in a QA leadership or lead role.

• Proven experience designing and implementing QA automation solutions.

• Strong hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks, tools, and scripting/programming.

• Experience leading QA teams, automation initiatives, or large‑scale testing efforts.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

• Experience with defect tracking, test management, and quality reporting tools.

• Experience working closely with software development and technical teams throughout the SDLC.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

• Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
