Job summary

CTG, a Cegeka company, is seeking a Java-focused software engineer for an ongoing contract in locations including Phoenix, AZ or New York City, NY. The role covers design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable Java applications, with emphasis on full-stack solutions, REST APIs, and DevOps practices.

You'll contribute across the full SDLC, build CI/CD pipelines, and participate in Agile ceremonies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Experience building full-stack Java applications.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful services, microservices, and relational or NoSQL databases is preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in Agile teams.

Duties:

• Experience with Git and source code management.

Experience:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on Java development experience.
• Experience developing and supporting full-stack Java applications.
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Experience with cloud environments and modern DevOps practices is preferred.
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful services, microservices, and relational or NoSQL databases is preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
