Job summary

Vaco is hiring an onsite QA Automation Engineer to support a large-scale POS modernization and payment platform integration initiative in Cincinnati, OH. The role requires hands-on automation, strong Selenium expertise, and collaboration with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

Candidates must be local and able to work onsite. Experience in Agile/Scrum, SAFe, and backend validation with SQL is essential, along with familiarity with WebDriver,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Selenium automation experience using Java or JavaScript.
• Experience with WebDriver, Appium, or WebDriverIO.
• Experience with JUnit, TestNG, Mocha, or Jasmine.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitLab.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Jira and ALM/Quality Center experience.
• SQL skills for backend validation.
• Strong defect management and root cause analysis skills.
• SAFe Agile experience.
• Current hands-on automation testing experience.
• Retail or POS testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated test scripts.
• Execute manual and automated testing for web and POS applications.
• Perform regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate backend data using SQL.
• Identify, document, and track defects.
• Partner with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
