Job summary

Software Mind is seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join a growing QA team supporting a fintech platform. You will design and run automated tests, identify bugs, and collaborate with developers and product managers in the Central Time zone.

You will write end-to-end tests using Playwright or similar, contribute to test plans, and help improve QA processes. English communication must be strong; experience with GitHub and JIRA is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of QA experience with end-to-end automation.
• Playwright preferred; Cypress/Maestro/Appium/Selenium also considered.
• Some coding experience in JavaScript, Ruby or Python.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Experience with GitHub or similar version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications.
• Identify, document, and track bugs, ensuring resolution.
• Perform manual and automated testing for quality and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement testing strategies.
• Write and maintain end-to-end automated tests using Playwright or similar frameworks.
• Utilize AI tools as a supportive aid in testing processes.
• Improve QA processes, frameworks, and best practices.
• Stay current with QA tools and industry trends.
