Job summary

7Seventy Recruiting is seeking a QA Engineer (Automation + Functional) to maintain software quality across web and mobile applications, with hands-on Playwright automation and end-to-end ownership of testing activities.

You will define acceptance criteria, develop test plans, and monitor quality metrics, integrating automated tests into CI/CD and collaborating with product and engineering teams throughout feature development.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional software quality assurance experience, including hands-on automated testing with Playwright or an equivalent automation framework.
• Experience developing test plans from product requirements and managing testing activities through software release.
• Practical experience incorporating automated test execution into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated end-to-end and regression tests using Playwright, ensuring reliable execution within CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across web and mobile applications to identify defects and verify software behavior.
• Work directly with product and engineering teams to create comprehensive test plans for new features, participating early in development to help establish clear acceptance criteria.
• Take ownership of testing activities throughout the development lifecycle, from interpreting product requirements through release validation.
• Help establish release readiness standards and quality gates to support consistent software delivery as the team expands.
• Investigate, reproduce, triage, and document software defects, producing clear bug reports that support efficient resolution.
• Monitor and communicate software quality indicators, including escaped defects, automated test coverage, and test flake rates.
• Evaluate and improve testing tools, automation practices, and QA processes to support increasingly complex software development needs.
