Job summary

Synechron seeks a QA Automation Engineer in Dallas to design, develop, and maintain automated tests for our banking applications. You will implement tests with Java, Selenium, and Karate, and ensure API/Web testing coverage while integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

The role emphasizes banking/financial services experience as a strong plus, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ongoing learning in FinLabs and enterprise-grade projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in QA automation, with proficiency in Java.
• Strong skills in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• Hands-on experience with Karate framework for API testing.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and Karate framework for web and API testing.
• Design, implement, and execute automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into test automation solutions.
• Perform API testing and validation using Karate framework, Postman, or similar tools.
• Identify, report, and track defects using defect tracking tools; work closely with developers for issue resolution.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous testing.
• Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks, ensuring robustness and scalability.
• Provide detailed test reports and documentation to stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in test automation and banking technologies.
