Job summary

Synechron is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with strong Java, Selenium, and Karate API testing skills to advance our banking solutions. The role focuses on designing, building, and refining automated tests for web and API layers, and integrating them into CI/CD workflows in a banking context.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JUnit/TestNG, Maven, and Jenkins, plus a collaborative mindset to partner with cross-functional teams across our FinLabs and CoE groups.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in QA automation.
• Proficiency in Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Hands-on Karate framework for API testing.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with CI/CD environments.
• Familiarity with JUnit, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Banking or financial services experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and Karate framework for web and API testing.
• Design, implement, and execute automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into test automation solutions.
• Perform API testing and validation using Karate framework, Postman, or similar tools.
• Identify, report, and track defects; work with developers for resolution.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Maintain and improve automation frameworks for robustness and scalability.
• Provide detailed test reports and documentation to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on trends in test automation and banking technologies.
