Job summary

InvestedintheMission is seeking a Software QA Automation Engineer II to design automated solutions and maintain robust test infrastructure for mission systems software. You will collaborate with development and system test teams with a degree of autonomy.

The role involves expanding automated test suites, contributing to tests, and mentoring junior team members. Requires 2–5 years in QA automation and familiarity with Linux, GitLab, and scripting in Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant Software QA experience.
• Familiarity with C/C++, Python, C#/.NET, or Java and OO design.
• Experience with QA automation and automation frameworks.
• Scripting in Python or similar for automation.
• Linux experience and CI pipelines (GitLab).
• Code reviews and mentoring of team members.
• Willingness to travel within the Continental U.S. (around 20%).

Responsibilities

• Design, expand and maintain automated test suites and frameworks.
• Contribute to component, sub-system, and automated system tests.
• Define scope, resources, benchmarks, and goals for automation work.
• Apply QA practices, standards and reporting.
• Support bug reporting and review; identify software risks.
• Design test plans and cases to exercise new functionality.
• Analyze, code, debug, and modify test software for embedded systems.
