Job summary

Reliant Health Partners is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions that uplift software quality for the claims processing platform. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and QA to develop test strategies and scalable automation standards.

You will advance the automation framework, write scripts for web, API, and system testing, and expand coverage while reducing manual effort.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of QA experience with a strong focus on test automation.
• Intermediate SQL and database validation experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for test automation.
• Experience with API testing using Postman.
• Experience working with Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and defect lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Review Jira stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Design test scenarios that validate functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end workflows.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive and high-value test scenarios.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and requirement discussions to ensure requirements are testable.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement an automation testing framework and supporting tools.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and system testing.
• Build and maintain reusable automation libraries and testing standards.
• Continuously expand automation coverage to reduce manual testing and improve release quality.
• Maintain and update automated test scripts as application functionality evolves.
• Execute automated regression, smoke, and functional test suites.
• Perform manual testing when automation is not practical or during new feature development.
• Validate end-to-end business workflows across the claims processing platform.
• Verify fixes and ensure production readiness before releases.
• Identify, document, and track defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and validate resolutions.
• Retest resolved defects and confirm successful implementation.
• Communicate testing status, risks, and quality metrics throughout the development lifecycle.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and ongoing administration of the organization's test automation solution.
• Recommend process improvements that increase testing efficiency and software quality.
• Develop automation best practices, coding standards, and supporting documentation.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA team members throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and release activities.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to implement and continuously improve the organization's test automation strategy.
• Stay current on emerging automation tools, frameworks, and industry best practices.
