Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a QA Engineer to define testable requirements, identify risks, and develop automated tests across web, API, database, and AI-enabled applications.

You will collaborate with software engineers, product managers, data engineers, and business teams to advance quality practices and support rapid software delivery. The role emphasizes automated testing, risk assessment, and CI/CD integration, with a focus on end-to-end quality across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated tests for web applications required.
• Experience testing REST APIs, system integrations, and distributed application workflows required.
• Experience validating application data using SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL required.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and software delivery workflows preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop quality strategies for applications, APIs, integrations, data flows, and user experiences.
• Analyze requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical designs to identify risks, gaps, dependencies, and testability concerns.
• Create and maintain automated tests for web applications, APIs, integrations, and data validation.
• Develop functional, integration, regression, smoke, exploratory, end-to-end, and performance tests as appropriate.
• Automate web application testing using Playwright or comparable testing frameworks.
• Validate REST APIs, authentication, authorization, workflows, data exchanges, and system integrations.
• Verify application data and processing results at the user interface, API, and database levels.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support quality gates for pull requests and deployments.
