Job summary

Ontinue is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to scale quality across a fast-moving engineering team. You will design automated tests for frontend, backend, and APIs, using Playwright in TypeScript or C#. You’ll test microservices, coordinate releases, and ensure Azure-based workflows are robust.

You should be independent, organized, and ready to apply AI-assisted tools to speed up testing and analysis. Strong communication with developers and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA, test automation, software engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience with frontend and API testing.
• Experience with Playwright or similar modern automation framework.
• Familiarity with Azure or other cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated tests for frontend, backend, and API flows.
• Use Playwright as core testing platform in TypeScript or C#.
• Test microservices-based systems and understand dependencies and release sequencing.
• Coordinate release readiness and identify what to test first and what can go out together.
• Test Azure-based and event-driven workflows and related integrations.
• Combine automation with manual/exploratory testing where valuable.
• Improve manual testing efficiency as the team grows.
• Collaborate with developers and managers to build practical QA processes.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to speed up test creation, maintenance, triage, and analysis.
• Ensure quality scales with team velocity without becoming a bottleneck.
