Job summary

TransferRoom is seeking a highly motivated QA Automation Engineer to test our software and automate end-to-end tests. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the success of our product.

We test and scale our stack with C# & .NET for core services, React front-end, and data storage with SQL Server, MongoDB, and Databricks, while leveraging AI tools to accelerate development and ensure quality. If you’re excited about solving problems at scale, we’ll support onboarding and learning

Qualifications

• Proven experience in test automation using Playwright with C#.
• Strong experience in API test automation and validating REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of test automation architecture and best practices, including the Page Object Model (POM).
• Experience working with MSSQL and Azure Cosmos DB to validate data for automated tests.
• Familiarity with Azure Functions and cloud-based applications.
• Able to investigate issues across UI, APIs, databases and backend services.
• Comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity and test development.
• Good understanding of regression, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable automation code.
• Ownership of automation initiatives and improving the automation framework.

TransferRoom is a hyper-growth B2B SaaS SportsTech company and the only digital marketplace in the world focusing on the global football industry.

We do this by empowering football clubs, agents and players to be successful in the transfer market by giving them real-time market intelligence and direct access to a global network of decision-makers.

TransferRoom has become a must-have for key stakeholders in football’s transfer market. It’s used by 800+ clubs, including Man City, Liverpool and PSG, 550 agencies and 8000 professional players. It has empowered clubs and agents to facilitate over 6000 transfers since its launch in 2017.

How We Work

We work in cross-functional squads, made up of full-stack engineers, product managers, designers, analysts, and automated QAs. Together, these squads own a key area of our platform — from club tools and agent products to core infrastructure and data services.

We believe the best work happens when teams are empowered to make decisions, collaborate openly, and ship fast. Our squads are lean and can develop and deploy their products end-to-end autonomously. Our engineers pair program, do code reviews, and iterate quickly to keep learning and improving.

We practice Scrumban and deploy new features to our customers every two weeks or sooner.

Locations & Flexible Working

Our main office is at Bankside, London with additional tech teams in Poland and Ukraine.

Our office is naturally social, especially Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, when we have regular team drinks, celebrations and five-a-side football.

You Should Apply If

• If you have proven experience in test automation using Playwright with C#.
• Strong experience in API test automation and validating REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of test automation architecture and best practices, including the Page Object Model (POM), reusable frameworks, and maintainable test design.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and Azure Cosmos DB to validate application data and support automated testing.
• Familiarity with Azure Functions and cloud-based applications.
• A technical mindset with the ability to investigate issues across the application stack, including UI, APIs, databases, and backend services.
• Comfortable using AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude) to improve productivity, accelerate test development, and optimise day-to-day engineering tasks.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies, including regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience working with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and reliable automation code.
• Comfortable taking ownership of automation initiatives and continuously improving the quality of the automation framework.
