You'll perform smoke, functional, integration, UAT, and regression testing, collaborate with developers and analysts, and provide daily and weekly status reports.

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a QA Automation Engineer for a contract position with a Major US Airline located in SeaTac, WA. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This role focuses on a comprehensive range of testing activities, including smoke, functional integration, user acceptance, and regression testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, developing and maintaining automated test scripts, and collaborating with developers and analysts to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Smoke Testing, Functional Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and Regression testing
• Design and execute test cases
• Prepare test specs according to use cases, manage review cycles with Designers & Business Analysts, and execute them after delivery
• Review identified test cases and test execution results
• Set up required test data and configurations for UAT and Production support
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts, including build validation scripts
• Provide daily and weekly status reporting
• Participate in technical discussions, test design discussions, code reviews, and root cause analysis
• Define common test patterns, practices, tool sets, processes, and methodologies
• Coordinate testing of project work for individual and team members
• Collaborate with Analysts to help plan testing efforts for major milestones

Pay range: up to $55.17 per hour
