Job summary

Caesars Digital in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a QA Engineer to contribute hands-on to our US Sportsbetting platform. You will deliver high-quality test cases to validate functional and non‑functional requirements and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to clarify specs and provide feedback on design.

Typical duties include testing iOS/Android apps, API testing, and non‑functional testing; you will leverage AWS, Linux/Unix, and GitLab CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as a Manual QA Engineer.
• Experience testing web and mobile apps.
• Experience with API/RESTful testing.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix environments.
• Familiar with GitLab CI/CD.
• Passion for sports betting or casino games is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in testing iOS and Android mobile apps.
• Analyze requirements and prepare comprehensive test plans and scenarios.
• Execute functional and regression testing.
• Log, assign, and track defects.
• Communicate testing progress with internal and external teams.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000 USD, which is dependent on several factors including relevant experience, geography, business needs and market demand.

• Log, assign, and meticulously track defects using designated defect tracking tools.


• Communicate effectively with both external and internal teams to convey testing progress, issues, and resolutions.


• Sign off on new features and functionality after thorough testing and validation.


• Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.


• Utilize your problem‑solving skills and attention to detail to ensure thorough testing coverage.


• Contribute to API/RESTful service testing efforts to validate system interactions.


• Leverage your experience with the AWS platform to enhance testing capabilities


• Demonstrate proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and familiarity with CI/CD processes in GitLab.


• Show aptitude in one or more of the following areas: sports, sports betting, online games, casino games.


• Collaborate closely with DevOps teams or have experience working alongside them.


• Conduct non‑functional testing to assess system performance, scalability, and security.


• Think critically about risk, create test strategies, and validate the quality of testing plans and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.


• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Manual QA Engineer, preferably in a similar industry.


• Proven experience in testing both web applications and mobile applications.


• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a keen attention to detail.


• Experience with API/RESTful service testing.


• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.


• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, particularly in GitLab.


• Experience with the AWS platform.


• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


• Passion for sports, sports betting, online games, or casino games is a plus.


• Experience working with or closely alongside DevOps teams is desirable.


• Proficiency in non‑functional testing is a plus.
