Job summary

Caesars Digital is seeking a Senior Web Engineer to design, build, and scale world-class web applications. You will collaborate with product and design teams to deliver intuitive user experiences and drive technical excellence across a high-traffic platform.

You will own front-end architecture, write clean, testable code, and mentor junior engineers while staying ahead of the latest web trends and tooling. This is a Jersey City-based role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5–6+ years of frontend web development experience.
• Proficient in React.js with deep understanding of core principles.
• Experience with Capacitor or Cordova.
• Experience delivering large-scale multi-team applications.
• Experience with a micro-frontend stack.
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and WebSocket integration.
• Familiarity with build tools (Webpack, Vite, Rollup) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

The Salary range for this position is $160,000 - $180,000 USD, which is dependent on several factors including relevant experience, geography, business needs, and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits; medical, vision, and dental insurance, disability insurance, a 401(k)-matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to cash bonuses. This role includes paid Flexible Time Off and paid company holidays.

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and your cross-functional engineering team to iterate on features and deliver intuitive user experiences.
• Ensure applications are performant, scalable, and adhere to best practices for web development.
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code, leveraging design patterns and architectural principles.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and frameworks to incorporate new technologies into the development process.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to technical discussions.
• Optimize application performance and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Participate in agile practices such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of technical excellence

Qualifications

• 5-6+ years of experience in web development with a strong focus on frontend technologies.
• Experience with Web Native App runtimes such as Capacitor or Cordova.
• Experience delivering and maintaining large-scale multi-team applications.
• Experience working on a micro-frontend application stack.
• Advanced proficiency in React.js and a deep understanding of its core principles.
• Expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind, Sass).
• Experience with state management libraries like Redux or Context API.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or Rollup, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to work with RESTful APIs and WebSocket integration.
• Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
