Job summary

The Marzetti Company is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst I to support product testing and lab operations in a manufacturing environment. The role encompasses understanding ingredient functionality, data interpretation, and reporting, with the shift schedule noted as Mon - Fri from 5a to 1:30p.

Responsibilities include training new staff, troubleshooting QA issues, monitoring CCPs and maintaining GMP/GLP compliance, plus contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and handling lab

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
• At least one year experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst I.
• Basic knowledge of food science and microbiology.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of ingredient functionality, processing functions and product attributes.
• Organizes and interprets data; creates reports, graphs, and spreadsheets from data interpretation.
• Trains new employees on-the-job.
• Troubleshoots QA issues and suggests solutions.
• Monitors and recommends disposition of returned goods.
• Provides recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Communicates with QA staff and reports issues to QA Manager.
• Reports processing and/or packaging line problems to Production and QA Managers.
