Job summary

Park Place Technologies is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst I to perform manual testing of internal products and 3rd party integrations. You will create test cases, ensure coverage, and maintain test repositories while collaborating with developers, analysts and stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on testing experience, knowledge of SDLC and QA best practices, and strong attention to detail. Up to 10% travel may be required.

  • Experience designing, authoring and communicating test scenarios, test cases and use cases.
  • Experience implementing a quality process.

  • Troubleshooting issues, problem resolution and risk analysis for product deployment.
  • Must have an eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and UAT.
  • Reproduce and document issues reported by users.
  • Create tickets for issues detected during testing.
  • Provide status reports to stakeholders.
  • Perform manual regression testing before releases.
  • Become SME on assigned products for robust test cases.
  • Be a proactive team player and learn new skills.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and speech.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Quality Assurance Analyst I works directly with developers, business analysts and key business stakeholders and will be responsible for the manual testing of internal products as well as integrations to 3rd party products. You will also be responsible for developing and writing all test cases required for the validation of products before they go into production. Must have hands on software testing experience and possess a solid understanding of quality assurance best practices, a working knowledge of Business Process workflow and a solid understanding of the SDLC.

What you'll be doing:
  • Create, author and manually test appropriate test cases for assigned products.
  • Interact with appropriate teams to ensure tests give accurate, complete and appropriate coverage.
  • Ensure test repositories are kept up to date by adding and updating tests.
  • Ensure test management procedures are being followed and take corrective action where needed.
  • Collaborate with teams and participate in planning of UAT prior to product launches.
  • Participate in UAT by replicating and writing up issues reported by users.
  • Create tickets in system of record for all issues detected during any phase of testing, following the defined team procedure.
  • Provide timely and accurate status reports to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Perform manual regression testing as defined for products prior to release.
  • Become a SME on products assigned to ensure a robust and complete set of test cases are created.
  • Be a strong problem solver and possess an excellent work ethic and attitude.
  • Collaborate, share and learn from team members and actively follow all team processes.
  • Function as an excellent team player that can make significant contributions individually as well as a part of the team.
  • Demonstrate willingness to work on your craft and take initiative in learning new skills.
  • Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to review product and feature documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with SDLC and software testing best practices.
  • Experience in designing, authoring and communicating test scenarios, test cases and use cases required for assigned projects.
  • Experience in the implementation of a quality process.
  • Experience in standard software quality release cycles.
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues, problem resolution and risk analysis for product deployment.
  • Must have an eye for detail.
