About The Role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our San Diego team or remotely from approved locations (CA, WA, TX, NY). This full-time position plays a key role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our video game titles across multiple platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The QA Analyst will develop and execute test suites, document bugs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to help deliver a superior gaming experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test suites based on feature specifications.
• Participate in specification reviews, daily scrums, and planning meetings.
• Provide guidance to remote testers and execute both authored and ad hoc tests.
• Report, review, and document bugs; verify fixes and track issues.
• Evaluate test scope and coverage, performing boundary, edge case, and exploratory testing as needed.
• Document QA processes and update knowledge on company products.
• Identify blocking issues and risks, recommending mitigation strategies.
• Ensure patches, updates, and releases meet quality standards.
• Follow Daybreak Games’ QA procedures and proactively contribute to process improvements.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance or the gaming industry.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience with console platforms such as PlayStation and Xbox.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
• Flexibility to work any shift as needed.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and QA methodologies.
• Prior experience with Daybreak Games’ titles or general knowledge of video games on PC and consoles is a plus.
