Darden Restaurants Inc. is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Analyst to translate business requirements into executable tests and to generate test results ensuring production readiness of new software and patches.

The role involves collaborating with development, management and QA teams to ensure test coverage and release documentation is complete. The successful candidate will review requirements, design and execute tests, maintain HP ALM traceability, and contribute to continuous QA process

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software QA/QC
• 1+ years testing web-based applications
• Experience designing, executing and analyzing tests
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test documentation
• Ability to create repeatable tests and test components
• Proactive communication of issues and status

Responsibilities

# QA Analyst1000 Darden Center Dr, Orlando FL 32837## Job DescriptionJOB OVERVIEW:The Software Quality Assurance Analyst maintains responsibility for writing and executing the test plan, translating business requirements into executable tests and generating test results to determine the production readiness of new software and software patches. He/she should effectively communicate with development, management, and the test teams to ensure business requirements have been met and all QA software release documents have been generated.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-Review requirements with project teams for testability.-Conduct test case reviews to ensure business requirement coverage.-Create and maintain requirement and test case traceability using HP ALM. Author test scenarios and test cases utilizing use cases, wireframes and business requirements.-Execute functional, integration and regression test.-Identify, confirm and report defects in an understandable and reproducible way.-Analyze test results looking for defect trends.-Integrate new functional test into the regression test set.-Identify repeatable test steps and flag for test component creation.-Create repeatable test components using HP ALM.-Proactively escalates issues, problems, and status to management.-Track and monitor assigned projects.-Proactively offer testing and QA process improvement recommendations.-Provide accurate and complete test documentation and reports in a timely manner.-Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment.-Research tools, methods and technology trends to support testing objectives.REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:-Minimum of 2+ years experience in a software QA/QC environment-Minimum of 1+ years experience with web-based application testing-Experienced in functional test design, execution, and analysis.-Thorough understanding of development and testing life cycles (SDLC/STLC).-Knowledge of industry standard test practices and strategies.
