Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a detail-oriented QA tester to develop and maintain QA checklists, perform functional and regression testing, and document results against designs and requirements.

The role includes accessibility testing (Section 508/WCAG), reporting defects via JIRA, validating fixes, and collaborating with a cross-functional team in a growth-focused environment. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Three to five years developing and executing software test plans and documenting results.
• Three to five years reading technical/software specifications.
• Three to five years testing for Accessibility/Section 508/WCAG requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain QA checklists, strategies and procedures.
• Conduct functional and regression testing of applications according to test plans and document results.
• Communicate defects to the project team and in a bug tracking system (preferably JIRA).
• Validate fixes and verify end-products against designs and requirements.
• Conduct Section 508 accessibility testing, document results and suggest fixes.
• Stay current with industry standards and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
