Job summary

INSPYR Solutions in Redmond, WA seeks a Systems Development Engineer (Python) for a 12+ month contract onsite.

You will support software testing, release management, and large-scale test environments, focusing on monitoring pipelines, triaging failures, and driving issues through to resolution. The ideal candidate has strong Python proficiency, enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, and collaborates across software, test, and infrastructure teams in a fast-paced development setting.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Test Engineering, Validation Engineering, Release Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supporting test environments, release processes, and automated test pipelines.
• Reading, modifying, and troubleshooting Python test scripts.
• Experience with defect tracking and ticket management systems.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience supporting embedded systems or hardware/software integration environments.

Responsibilities

• Support release management activities and product validation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Monitor automated test pipelines and investigate test failures across build, integration, and test environments.
• Triage failures, analyze results, and identify potential root causes.
• Modify and maintain Python-based test scripts and automation tools.
• Create, manage, and follow up on defect tickets to ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate with software, test, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Rerun tests, validate fixes, and report on results and trends.
• Participate in on-call support outside business hours when needed.
