Job summary

Set Of X is seeking an experienced test engineer to join a team building advanced systems for government contracting. You will design and execute tests across telephony and networking hardware, generate test cases, and document results from large data sets.

The role emphasizes Python scripting, automation, and integration with existing lab environments. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in test engineering, strong Python skills, and proven ability to craft test scenarios, manage discrepancy

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a test engineer developing or executing test scripts and analyzing results in system testing of complex systems.
• Strong Python experience.
• Experience with creating and using regular expressions for data search.
• Experience integrating new and old technologies into existing network configurations and test beds.
• Experience creating test scenarios and analyzing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Test software following a formal automated testing method using telephony and networking hardware across multiple hardware platforms.
• Generate test cases based on defined requirements and product functionality.
• Perform baseline, system, and regression level testing to support R&D efforts.
• Analyze large log data sets and test data; document results clearly.
• Create test documents such as test plans, traceability matrices, and test summary reports.
