Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Software Engineer to deliver secure, scalable technology solutions in a hybrid Columbus, OH role. You will mentor others, craft new applications or modify existing ones, and drive high-quality, cost-efficient outcomes across the team.

This role emphasizes leadership, architecture reviews, DevSecOps, and collaboration with architecture, security, governance and product leaders. Hybrid work requires in-office presence two days weekly.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in computer science, MIS, mathematics or related field preferred.
• Six years of experience in programming and systems analysis; three years in project management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve ETL framework with reusable patterns.
• Build data integrations with APIs, SDKs, databases, files and cloud services.
• Implement reliable data transformations and loads with quality controls.
• Drive production readiness with automated testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Lead engineering reviews, mentoring and documentation, and promote secure coding practices.
