  • API and SDK integration — Expertise integrating REST APIs, third-party SDKs, databases, files, and cloud services using secure authentication, pagination, rate limiting, retries, schema validation, and resilient error handling.
  • Data engineering and quality — Strong SQL, data modeling, schema mapping, incremental and bulk loading, data validation, reconciliation, deduplication, data contracts, and schema evolution.
  • Cloud-native delivery and Nationwide Golden Path alignment — Experience with containers, CI/CD, GitHub, automated testing, observability, secure configuration, and platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or Harmonia.
  • Technical leadership and sustainable development — Ability to lead design decisions, mentor engineers, document standards, and use GitHub Copilot with VS Code responsibly to improve productivity while maintaining security, quality, and long-term maintainability. A recognized Python certification is preferred.
Responsibilities

  • Build and support data integrations with third-party APIs, SDKs, databases, files, SaaS platforms, and cloud services.
  • Implement reliable data transformations and loads including normalization, enrichment, deduplication, business-rule processing, reconciliation, delta processing, upserts, and bulk loading.
  • Drive production readiness through automated unit and integration testing, CI/CD, containerized execution, data quality controls, monitoring, alerting, SLA tracking, and secure secrets management.
  • Lead and enable the engineering team through architecture and code reviews, mentoring, technical documentation, stakeholder collaboration, and effective use of GitHub Copilot with VS Code.
