Job summary
General Motors Corporation is seeking a hands-on software engineer to own projects around fleet data recording and telemetry workflows. You will build Python services that capture, validate, store, and deliver vehicle and sensor data across cloud and backend systems, and you will drive reliability improvements and data quality.
You will collaborate across cloud, data engineering, and fleet operations, applying AI techniques to accelerate issue triage and root-cause analysis.
Qualifications
- Experience delivering production-quality Python software and data workflows.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, data structures, and design.
- Ability to debug complex cloud, data-integration issues and drive resolution.
Responsibilities
- Own project-level initiatives to improve reliability of vehicle-to-cloud data recording.
- Develop Python software for telemetry processing, validation, and tooling.
- Define data-quality checks, dashboards, and service-level indicators.
- Debug complex data pipelines and participate in design reviews.
- Apply AI/LLMs to automate issue discovery and triage.
