Role Overview:
You will be responsible for developing, testing, and refactoring Python-based solutions that automate key business workflows and integrate various third-party platforms and internal systems. Your work will directly impact operational efficiency, reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, maintain, test, and refactor Python-based applications and scripts.
- Implement and optimize complex business logic into scalable and maintainable code.
- Continuously refactor existing codebases to improve readability, efficiency, maintainability, performance, and adherence to business logic.
- Integrate internal systems with third-party APIs and services, writing robust adapter classes as needed.
- Optimize existing workflows for performance, reliability, ease of use, and adherence to business logic.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Write clean, well-documented, testable, and reusable code, adhering to best practices and standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed timesheets suitable for client invoicing.
- Adhere to HIPAA and other confidentiality and security standards.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional Python development experience, including advanced language features, OOP, some functional programming, and some Pandas exposure.
- Strong expertise in workflow automation, refactoring existing codebases, and integration with third-party services and APIs.
- Proficiency with web and ORM frameworks (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, Django).
- Experience with automation tools and libraries (e.g., Celery, Airflow, APScheduler).
- Solid understanding of relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL data stores.
- Familiarity with containerization and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical requirements.
- Able to be self-motivated and work independently, balancing priorities, while still maintaining good communication and collaboration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Prior experience meeting with clients, collecting requirements, and documenting business processes.
