MANTECH is seeking a Python Developer to join our Herndon, VA team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and testing software components to support national security projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong Python background, 3+ years of Python development, and experience with SQL databases. You will contribute to cross-functional teams, participate in agile ceremonies, and help deliver high-quality solutions that meet security and performance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 7+ years of software development experience.
• At least 3 years of recent experience developing applications using Python.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience managing databases.
• Experience in front-end development or full-stack development.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and design robust software components.
• Research new software concepts, build prototypes, and demonstrate proofs-of-concept.
• Collaborate with team to understand existing features and identify improvements.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure quality.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to best coding practices.
• Engage in agile processes: daily stand-ups, sprints, retrospectives.
• Communicate with fellow developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements.
