Job summary

Acceler8 Talent's client in the United States is seeking a Principal Python Engineer (Modeling & Simulation) to drive production Python systems end-to-end and design scalable backend architectures for complex data and workflows.

The role focuses on modelling and simulation, with potential C++ work and AFSIM or similar frameworks, addressing performance, reliability and deployment in mission-critical defence environments. US citizenship/clearance eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building production Python systems.
• Experience with modelling & simulation systems is a must.
• Exposure to large-scale, distributed architectures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Build and own complex production Python systems end-to-end.
• Design scalable backend architectures across APIs, data models, queues and distributed workflows.
• Work on modelling & simulation systems, ideally involving C++ and AFSIM or similar frameworks.
• Solve performance, reliability and deployment challenges in real-world defence environments.
• Lead major technical initiatives and mentor engineers while remaining hands-on (senior levels).

The role:

• Build and own complex production Python systems end-to-end
