Job summary

Acceler8 Talent is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a UK-founded Defence AI company expanding its US engineering capability. This role is Virginia/Remote, with strong emphasis on building sovereign AI tech for Defence, Intelligence and national-security decision-making.

You will ship Python-heavy backend and data systems, own end-to-end features, and collaborate across backend, data, ML tooling, and frontend with React or Vue.

Qualifications

• Own meaningful product functionality end-to-end rather than a narrow piece of the stack.
• Work across backend, data engineering, ML/AI tooling and frontend when needed.
• Build complete features across Python and modern frontend technologies such as React or Vue.

• Become a senior technical contributor as the US engineering capability grows.

Our client — a UK-founded Defence AI company expanding its US engineering capability — is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Virginia / Remote).

They’re building sovereign AI technology deployed across Defence and Security environments, combining modern AI, large-scale data processing and secure infrastructure to help users make better decisions in high-consequence environments.

The role:

• Build and ship Python-heavy backend and data systems from problem definition through production
• Own meaningful product functionality end-to-end rather than a narrow piece of the stack
• Work across backend, data engineering, ML/AI tooling and frontend when needed
• Build complete features across Python and modern frontend technologies such as React or Vue
• Work directly with customer and mission stakeholders to turn ambiguous problems into technical solutions
• Become a senior technical contributor as the US engineering capability grows
• Help build the US engineering capability from an early stage

$140,000 – $200,000 base + up to 25% annual bonus

Build real-world AI products across Python, data, ML tooling and modern frontend technologies

Work on technology deployed into Defence, Intelligence and national-security environments

Small, autonomous, high-ownership engineering team

Primarily remote — Virginia-based strongly preferred, with the ability to reach Herndon when required

US citizenship required + eligibility to obtain security clearance
