Technologent is seeking an experienced Python Backend Developer for an onsite Phoenix role. The candidate will design, develop, and scale backend services and APIs using Python frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, Django) and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in Python backend development and software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including object‑oriented and asynchronous programming.
• Hands‑on experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services using Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including SQL queries, database design, and performance optimization.
• Experience with API integrations, authentication, error handling, logging, and backend troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud‑based deployments.
• Exposure to workflow orchestration frameworks such as Temporal, Apache Airflow, or Celery.
• Familiarity with WebSockets/Socket.IO for real‑time communication.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests (pytest/unittest).
• Git, PRs, branching strategies, and collaborative code reviews.

• Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests to ensure application quality, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams through Git-based workflows, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Support application containerization, deployment, and release management using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement secure backend solutions using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and microservices-based architecture.
• Explore and integrate AI capabilities, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and AI-driven workflow automation into backend applications.
• Troubleshoot complex backend issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement effective technical solutions.
• Take ownership of development deliverables, contribute to technical improvements, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
