Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho seeks a Product Yield Enhancement Lab Technician to support yield improvement and failure analysis in the Characterization Lab. You will operate advanced semiconductor test equipment, analyze data, and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and engineering teams to drive quality and reliability.

The role offers exposure to modern memory technologies, emphasizing safety and continuous improvement through data-driven approaches.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical, manufacturing, laboratory, semiconductor, military, or engineering environment.
• Ability to interpret procedures, follow detailed work instructions, and resolve technical issues.
• Experience using computer systems and software to collect, analyze, and communicate information.

Responsibilities

• Investigate product lots and devices to support PYE failure analysis and characterization requests.
• Complete semiconductor test flows using approved procedures, tools, and lab equipment.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain characterization and burn-in equipment (SBT, pretest stations, burn-in systems).
• Apply Linux-based systems and scripting for data gathering and problem solving.
• Analyze test results and verify outcomes using failure analysis and yield monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers, Characterization Engineers, Manufacturing, and Technical Support to resolve issues.
• Document activities, track dispositions, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement efforts for lab efficiency, equipment utilization, and safety.
