Job summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking motivated Heat-Treating Assistants to support PWHT and related thermal processes at job sites and in-shop environments.

This entry-level role works with certified heat treat technicians to set up, monitor, and break down heating equipment used for pressure vessels, piping, and weld zones, with hands-on training and opportunities for advancement. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background checks.
• Must obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other site access credentials.
• Willingness to travel and work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative schedules.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup, operation, and breakdown of heat-treating equipment (electric resistance coils, ceramic pads, induction units, thermocouples).
• Prepare components for heat treatment per safety and client specs.
• Lay out insulation and heating elements on piping, vessels, or weld zones.
• Monitor temperature controllers and data recorders during operations.
• Cut and apply thermocouples under technician supervision.
• Maintain documentation and support reporting.
• Follow safety procedures for high-temperature equipment and hazards.
• Travel to client sites as required.
