Job summary

Team Industrial Services, Inc. seeks a Heat‑Treating Assistant to support PWHT and related thermal processes at job sites and in‑shop environments. Work with certified heat‑treat technicians to set up, monitor, and remove equipment for controlled heating of materials, including pressure vessels and weld zones.

This entry‑level role offers hands‑on training, room for advancement, and travel to client sites as needed, with safety‑first culture and teamwork emphasized.

Qualifications

• Prior PWHT, induction heating, or thermal processing experience preferred.
• Basic electrical knowledge or experience around power distribution equipment.
• Familiarity with welding, inspection, or industrial trades is advantageous.
• Current safety certifications (TWIC, OSHA 10/30) are preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and hands‑on tool experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup, operation, and breakdown of heat‑treating equipment.
• Clean and prepare components for heat treatment per safety and client specs.
• Lay out and secure insulation, heating elements, and monitoring hardware.
• Monitor temperature controllers and data recorders alongside certified technicians.
• Cut and apply thermocouples under supervision.
• Travel to client sites as required and support reporting.
