Job summary

TEAM, Inc. seeks motivated Heat-Treating Assistants to support PWHT and related thermal processes at job sites and in-shop environments.

This entry-level role works with certified heat treat technicians to set up, monitor, and remove equipment used for controlled heating of materials. This position offers hands-on training, safety-focused culture, and potential for advancement into inspection or technical services within TEAM's growing services across multiple industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
• Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other site access credentials.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and measurement devices.
• Willingness to travel and work extended shifts, weekends, and alternate schedules.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
• Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist setup, operation, and breakdown of heat-treating equipment.
• Clean and prepare components for heat treatment.
• Lay out and secure insulation, heating elements, and monitoring hardware.
• Monitor temperature controllers and data recorders to support technicians.
• Cut and apply thermocouples accurately under supervision.
• Retrieve and organize documentation for setup and reporting.
• Follow safety procedures related to high-temperature equipment and hazards.
• Maintain tools, consumables, and equipment in safe condition.
• Travel to client sites as required.
• Perform general labor duties related to rigging and access equipment setup.
