Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a Wrestling Head Coach for the Winter Sports season at Penn Wood HS. This supplemental contract position is effective from November to February for the 2026-2027 school year.

Coaches are expected to provide regular updates to the Athletic Director and ensure completion of required training. Compensation will be in accordance with a negotiated contract. The position concludes at the end of the season, requiring reapplication for future consideration.

Qualifications

• Coaches must confirm completion of Concussion Training and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training.

Responsibilities

• Provide updates to the Athletic Director via weekly Athletic Practice Plans.
• Submit rosters for attendance and signature tracking of students.
• Ensure all responsibilities are met for timely compensation.

Assignment and Termination of Supplemental Contracts:

Assignment and termination of supplemental contracts shall be an administrative prerogative. It is agreed, however, that a bargaining unit member shall be assigned no more than two full year and three seasonal supplemental contracts per year unless that bargaining unit member is the only applicant for a supplemental position.

Level of Compensation: Supplemental units in accordance with negotiated contract.

Notice: Per WPEA contract, page 52, Exhibit E, all employees shall give 60 days notice of resignation from supplemental positions.

Responsibilities

• Sports supplementals selected to lead athletic supplementals will provide regular updates to the Athletic Director and their administrator(s) via weekly Athletic Practice Plan: include a schedule of activities and the number of students who attend and signatures for each student attending per session. Rosters for attendance may accompany the activity tracker.
• Athletic supplemental contracts will be paid within three (3) weeks of receipt of notification from the building administrator that all responsibilities have been met.
• There will be no compensation for additional practice time required.

This position ends on the last day of the season as defined by your contract. You must reapply for this position to be considered for the upcoming school season.
