Job summary

Textron Systems, part of Textron, is seeking an experienced PWB/PWA/Flex Design Engineer to join the Weapon Systems business area. You will design printed circuit boards, flex circuits, and wire harnesses for military qualified hardware in a multidisciplinary team based in Hunt Valley, MD.

The role requires 3+ years in PWB/PWA/Flex layout, Cadence/Allegro expertise, and a relevant AS degree. Active security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in PWB/PWA/Flex layout.
• Experience with high density PCB layout using Cadence/Allegro.
• Knowledge of controlled track impedance, RF PCB, and guard track layout.
• Allegro PWB designer experience.
• Create and maintain component libraries.
• Expertise in footprint generation.
• Active security clearance preferred; eligibility required.
• AS degree in PWB design or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop new PWB/PWA/Flex designs and transition them to military qualified hardware.
• Specify appropriate PWB/PWA/Flex construction based on requirements and environments.
• Apply IPC standards, manage supplier fabrication techniques, and design controlled impedance path layouts.
