PVD Technician – 2nd/3rd Shift, Hands-On & Lean-Focused

Job summary

Behr Canada is seeking a Technician 1 (PVD) for 2nd or 3rd shift to set up, operate, and maintain PVD chambers and related equipment. The role supports Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement through Masco Operating System principles.

Qualified candidates will have prior PVD chamber operation experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to perform preventive maintenance and basic math calculations. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a PVD Chamber Operator is required.
• HS degree or HS equivalency diploma is recommended.
• Achieve a Color Acuity score of 40 or better.
• Prior maintenance and technical experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, program, start up and shut down machines and equipment.
• Maintain machines, trouble shoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, repair and correct pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, electronic and vacuum system components.
• Perform mechanical and vacuum pump repairs.
• Perform parts inspection and make quality decisions.
