Job summary

Ionbond – IHI Group is recruiting a Machine Operator in West Chicago, IL. You will operate high-vacuum PVD coating chambers, load and unload parts, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

The role requires precise handling of precision-machined parts and adherence to strict quality standards. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing, strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read technical instructions in English.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or related field.
• Familiar with machine operation and production tools/equipment; strong manual dexterity.
• Able to read instructions in English, including small font (8-point).

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor high-vacuum PVD coating chambers per customer specifications.
• Load and unload parts with care; maintain cleanliness of machines.
• Carry out periodical checks to ensure process stability.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of coating machines.
• De-fixture batch loads after processing and inspect finished parts.
• Contribute to visual quality checks and document results.
• Collaborate with supervisors to meet production targets.
• Other duties as assigned.
