Job summary

Ionbond, the Surface Engineers, seeks a Thin-Film PVD Process Development Engineer to join our Chicago West Chicago Coating Center. You'll work on the production floor with operators and the Plant Manager, then collaborate with R&D to iterate recipes and analyze data to lift yield.

In this role you’ll apply Lean tools and ISO 9001/AS9100D requirements while scaling programs from concept to production. Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science/Metallurgy, or Plasma Physics.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key technical resource for PVD coating operations, planning, mentoring, and coaching through all steps of surface engineered solution production.
