Job summary

Suffolk Construction seeks a Senior Marketing Manager for Pursuit Marketing in Boston. You will lead RFQ/P strategy, develop interview materials, and drive pursuit campaigns across sectors. The role requires shaping compelling value propositions, coordinating with stakeholders, and mentoring a growing team.

On-site presence four days a week, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, brand leadership, and delivering best-in-class pursuit materials. Strong writing and design skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in marketing within the AEC industry
• BS/BA with concentration in marketing, business, English, journalism, or communications preferred
• Proven ability to initiate work, make strategic decisions, and follow through to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on client service
• Ability to contribute strategically and exhibit leadership amongst the team
• Ability to anticipate needs, problem solve, and proactively respond to challenges and opportunities
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality
• Excellent writing skills and strong design sense with a high level of creativity
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage conflict
• Strong technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint)
• Experience in public sector work and design-build procurement is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead RFQ/P strategy and development for complex pursuits
• Develop pursuit deliverables and ensure timely delivery of materials
• Articulate value propositions in collaboration with stakeholders
• Collaborate with external partners to support pursuits and work acquisition
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including leadership and operations
• Stay informed about capabilities, portfolio and brand for Pursuits
• Mentor and develop junior pursuit marketing team members
• Share best practices with teams nationwide
• Support workload planning and resource management
• Translate complex technical concepts into proposals with strong writing
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and functional excellence
• Prioritize and manage concurrent assignments with quality and branding in mind
• Partner with internal departments and outside vendors to enhance pursuit strategies
• Support regional and company-wide goals and marketing initiatives
• Assist with infrastructure, reporting, and metrics for the regional department
• Represent the team and Suffolk within the local A/E/C community
