Job summary

Elim Park Baptist Home Inc in Cheshire, CT is seeking a full-time cook to prepare hot and cold menu items in our on-site dining program. This role emphasizes quality, safety, and timely service within a mission-driven, faith-based workplace.

Under the supervision of Executive Chef Anthony Camilleri, you’ll follow recipes, use production tools, and participate in ongoing culinary education. We prioritize locally sourced ingredients, supportive teamwork, and a culture that values purpose and care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Culinary degree or certificate preferred or equivalent experience.
• Serv Safe certification required.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes.
• Ability to prepare menu items as directed.
• Knowledge of food cost control.
• Knowledge of food presentation techniques.
• Knowledge of special and therapeutic diets.
• Highly positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food indicated by the production sheet according to recipe and standards.
• Prepares all food according to schedule.
• Participates in continuing education programs.
• Achieves customer satisfaction with food prepared.
• Attends scheduled meetings and inservices.
• Adheres to unit standards of dress.
• Performs other duties as required.
