Job summary

Qualifications

• Level I requires basic math, basic computer skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, teamwork and good judgment.
• Level I candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent; Bioworks Certificate preferred.
• Level II requires at least 12 months as a technician in the department and a satisfactory performance review.
• Work environment includes manufacturing with rotating shifts, exposure to biological fluids and chemicals, PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping to GMP standards in a pharmaceutical operation.
• Clean, assemble, disassemble and sanitize production equipment (filters, tanks, etc.).
• Operate a forklift and handle bulk processing and filtration tasks.
• Prepare buffer solutions and store process intermediates correctly.
• Assemble and operate production equipment (e.g., Spectrophotometer).
• Perform pH and buffer additions; prepare samples and perform processing calculations.
• Weigh powders, chemicals and reagents; monitor quality and processing parameters.
• Identify mechanical and safety hazards and follow proper procedures.
