Job summary

Terray Therapeutics in Monrovia, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented Technician to join our Analytical and Purification group, supporting synthetic chemistry programs by purifying and characterizing small-molecule compounds using LC/UPLC, prep-HPLC, and LC-MS.

You will operate an open-access purification service, deliver high-purity compounds and data, maintain the instrumentation, and uphold data integrity and safety standards in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry or related discipline and hands-on analytical chemistry experience.
• Experience with analytical and preparative scale chromatography (HPLC/UPLC, prep-HPLC).
• Knowledge of reverse and normal-phase chromatography and related chemical principles.
• Strong attention to detail, data integrity, and sample tracking.
• Ability to manage high throughput and competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; works well independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize analytical and preparative methods for purification of compounds using LC/UPLC, prep-HPLC, and mass-directed prep-HPLC.
• Run high-throughput analysis and characterization using UPLC/HPLC-UV, LC-MS, and NMR as needed.
• Support walk-up/open-access LC-MS and purification service with quick turnaround.
• Track sample identity, recovery, and yield through workflows.
• Perform maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation; escalate vendor service when needed.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity and safety standards.
