Job summary

IMA Automation USA Inc is seeking a Purchasing and Warehouse Coordinator in Elgin, Illinois to procure materials, manage stock levels, and support warehouse operations. You will use SAP to create and track purchase orders, receive goods, and verify documentation to ensure material availability and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in purchasing or warehouse roles, strong organizational skills, forklift certification or ability to obtain it, and familiarity with CoCs and quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of purchasing, inventory control, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, receiving, and warehouse operations.
• Ability to review packing slips, purchase orders, and quality documentation accurately.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Create and issue purchase orders in SAP for materials, supplies, and services.
• Track and manage open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Communicate with suppliers concerning delivery schedules, shortages, and discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment activities.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against packing lists and purchase orders.
• Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or nonconforming materials.
• Enter and maintain receiving, inventory, and purchasing transactions in SAP.
• Review and verify Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) and other required supplier documentation.
• Ensure certifications and quality documents are properly maintained and distributed internally.
• Coordinate material storage, movement, and organization within the warehouse.
• Safely unload trucks and move materials using a forklift when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Generate purchasing and inventory reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Compare supplied parts with drawing / blueprint to confirm accuracy.

Salary Information
